Alabama Twisters on Video!!!

A series of severe thunderstorms rip across portions of West Alabama. Several cells produce tornadoes. The worst damage is reported in portions of Tuscaloosa County. What a monster tornado. This tornado is what us stormchasers refer to as a "wedge". It may end up being rated an F2 or F3 just from the looks of it (very wide base). Enjoy these home videos.

Finally, it is very rare that a TV station's tower cam catches a tornado live on TV...let alon ever. These guys at ABC 33/40 in Birmingham did an awesome job staying calm, getting the info. to the viewers and using their weather toys to warn the public. Nice job and Incredible video...watch below.
