Hurricane Hunters in the "Eye" of Katrina

These awesome pictures come from the data gatherers and modelers of the US Air Force's Hurricane Hunter's and Orion P3 research planes. The Hurricane Hunters were based out of Biloxi, MS until the base was destroyed by this very hurricane. No word yet on where they have relocated to.
